I got the same relay (actually 2 in the same board) and unfortunetly it doesn't work with the 3.3V from a Raspberry pi Pico... I'll maybe try your hack, but on my board I can supply to a different VCC for the relay circuits, so I may create something less hacky with a voltage regulator.

Im basically a caveman compaired to you. Good work. I always see videos of people making stuff but some of them say how to make this. But they dont say step 1 own a workshop with a variety of expensive tools worth about the same as your house that you cant afford

It's called level shifting as the Pico/RPI is built for 3.3-3.6 volts signal lines. It's a trouble source and you need to be sure it doesn't go over the specs. Always think it through, back and forth before you blow something out by "let's try it this way" and it's too late after a bit of smoke or dead devices. With more signal lines use a level shifter module. This "hack" is a normal procedure, but might not work always.

Can I buy this ready to mount I don't have the skill to do everything you just did or the tools. I plan on painting my whole rim with glow in the dark paint I guess now I just have to figure out how to mount a LED.

Its the best idea that i saw. Yes, not rgb, but there is no odd things on the axle of wheel, that causes vibrations.

what I do I put a stripe i ply it and I put the aluminium in between , I adjust my cheap (but very efficient) welder to 5 milliseconds . Try it with food aluminium wrap, contact is perfect, after to weld on the stripe or spot it is easy (do not forget to readjust your spot welder to 8 ms, of course do not press too much(always true anyway), Spot welding is not so aggressive for the pouch because the stripe absorb much heath. My 5 cents

It is DANGEROUS to switch currents up to 15 A with a relay that is only released up to 10 A by the manufacturer.

OK I thought that it wasn't soldering because it was aluminium but the thing that troubles me is that somehow the aluminium wires have no problem been soldered.
